Aux hasards d'un détour sur 9GAG (grand repère d'introvertis s'il en est), me voila tombé sur le blog d'INFJoe. Sacré découverte pour moi, surtout en cette période de remise en question. Morceaux choisis:

15 years ago, I found out that I’m an INFJ according to the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, and it was one of the best things to ever happen to me. I’ve always felt “different”, the one who didn’t quite fit in. Upon my discovery, I learned that there was nothing wrong with me (personality-wise), and I was finally given permission to be me, the me I was created to be, the me I was hardwired to be.

Every trait is a 2-sided coin with its up and down sides. Sensitivity is one coin I’ve been flipping for as long as I can remember. On the upside, INFJs are sensitive to others’ feelings and can offer the right words or actions at the right time. On the downside ...

I think that extroversion is the standard in our culture and quite often introverts are expected to adapt accordingly. Even if I’m asked to act like an extrovert, I will always be an introvert, because that’s just the way I’m wired, the way I was created. For the record, I love and care about people deeply, but forced connecting, small talk, large groups of people wear me out. It just doesn’t work for me.

One downside is that I tend to be too much of a people pleaser. Another is that I can appear to be a pushover. I think some folks have been somewhat surprised to discover how strongly I stand by my principles and values.
